Keeping with an annual tradition, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump participated in phone calls Wednesday night with families and children who were following the fun NORAD program which tracks Santa Clause as he travels around the world, delivering presents on Christmas Eve.

Seated on each side of a large Christmas tree, the President and First Lady each had their own telephone, as they took calls from Mar-a-Lago, their Palm Beach, Florida estate.

The children were calling in toΒ the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), and the calls were then re-directed to the Trumps.

Trump’s Rapid Response team posted video clips of some of the adorable discussions.

President Trump spoke with an eight-year-old North Carolina girl who wants to know if Santa will be mad if she doesn’t leave him cookies.

“I think he won’t get mad, but I think he’ll be very disappointed. Santa tends to be a little on the cherubic side.” πŸ˜‚πŸŽ…πŸ»

President Trump asked one child, “What would you like Santa to bring?”

KID: “Not coal!”

@POTUS: “You mean ‘clean, beautiful coal.'”

Trump asked another child, “What do you want from Santa?”

KID: “A Kindle.”

@POTUS: “That’s pretty good. You must be a High IQ person. We need more High IQ people in the country.”

Trump said, “We track Santa all over the world… We want to make sure that he’s not infiltrated β€” that we’re not infiltrating into our country a bad Santa. We found that Santa is GOOD!” πŸŽ…πŸ»
