From Fox News: American Federation of Teachers boss Randi Weingarten turned her union’s convention into a political rally Monday as she warned former President Trump could bring fascism and violence to America in a bombastic speech.

Weingarten, who has a history of far-left political rhetoric, spoke at length about American politics and quoted from the “Suffs” musical produced by Hillary Clinton, specifically referencing the lyrics “progress is possible, not guaranteed” from the song “Keep Marching.”

“The November elections will determine which path we take as a nation. Progress is possible, but so is the eradication of the rights and freedoms we hold dear,” Weingarten said. “It is seldom a dramatic event or attack that lets fascism in the door. The violence comes later, after they are voted in.”

Weingarten’s wild rant started in a quiet, dramatic tone and built up to a screaming crescendo.

Wildly warning of how “fascism comes to power,” she claimed, “Voting is still our best defense against tyranny and fascism…. progress is possible but not guaranteed.”

“When the history books are written about this moment, let them record that we the people united, mobilized, and voted down this existential threat to democracy and freedom! That we continue the march for progress! that we lay the foundation for a better future, and that we sought to create a more perfect union! Progress is possible! Keep marching!” Weingarten screamed while wildly waving her arms.

Weingarten also raged against conservatives who have pushed back against radical agendas being taught in public schools, and “school choice” candidates winning elections in Texas.

She specifically blasted former Education Secretary Betsy deVoss, and journalists Chris Rufo and Corey DeAngelis, who have exposed the radical left agenda being taught in schools.

The far-left teachers union president celebrated that Kamala Harris has just been handed enough delegates to receive the Democratic nomination.

Weingarten is also pushing a fundraising call for Harris.
