From Fox News: Allstate CEO Tom Wilson ignited a firestorm of backlash on social media Thursday with a video statement addressing Wednesday’s terror attack in New Orleans that killed more than a dozen people.

Wilson’s statement came ahead of the Sugar Bowl, of which Allstate is the official corporate sponsor, after the game was postponed to Thursday due to the attack. In the video, Wilson suggested Americans have an “addiction to divisiveness” and must “accept people’s imperfections and differences.”

“Our prayers went to victims and their families. We also need to be stronger together by overcoming an addiction to divisiveness and negativity. Join Allstate working in local communities all across America to amplify the positive, increase trust and accept people’s imperfections and differences. Together we win,” Wilson says in the video.

Wilson begins his statement by saying, “Wednesday, tragedy struck the New Orleans community.”

The ‘tragedy’ was an Islamic terror attack, committed by 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar, who admitted in a video ahead of the attack that he was inspired by ISIS. Jabbar had an ISIS flag attached to a pickup truck, as he plowed throw the crowd on Bourbon Street to slaughter 14 people and injure another 35, several critically.

But instead of acknowledging that it was an Islamic terror attack, Wilson simply called it a ‘tragedy,’ and told Americans to “accept people’s imperfections and differences.”

Wilson is being blasted on social media over his statement.

Author Chris Worman wrote, “You can’t “positivity” yourself away from evil. You must confront it head on. Americans ARE uniting around this point. Get with the program, Tom.”

“This is the most tone deaf, out of touch with reality, virtue signaling crap I’ve seen in a long time. Seriously, how dare he lecture us! Glad I don’t have Allstate,” wrote one X user.

X user Bill Haines wrote, “The message from the Allstate CEO before the game was beyond tone deaf. A guy with an ISIS flag, that became radicalized, isn’t your standard “let’s not discriminate against somebody different from you.””

Bill Smith mocked, “Allstate, the only insurance that will cover your car when you blow it up on purpose.”

“Somebody ought to make a parody of the AllState mayhem commercials with a terrorist blowing up things and talking about how good AllState’s coverage is,” Smith added.

Montgomery Granger wrote, “Watching #SugarBowl commercial from the sponsor of the game, @Allstate. CEO or somebody says “tragedy struck” the New Orleans community. No! It wasn’t tragedy, it was Islamic TERRORISM. Then he goes on to say some BS about togetherness and kumbaya. WTH?”

One furious X user wrote, “@Allstate my wife and I will be canceling our insurance with you first thing in the morning and we’ll have a new insurance company for our home and auto policies by noon. As well, my four sons and our two daughters all who have insurance with you. Pound salt.”

“I’d like for Allstate accept that I’m going to get different insurance,” another person added.

“Looks like Allstate’s gonna understand what cancel culture is all about,” another person predicted.

“Hello, @Allstate – How is your CEO qualified to diagnose addiction to divisiveness? And what techniques should I follow to accept people’s imperfections and differences that intentionally cause harm and death?” wrote Mr. Tippleton.

Libs of TikTok checked out Allstate and discovered they’re all on board with the ‘Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’ agenda.
