U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and his wife Rachel, a co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend, shared their inspiring story on stage at Turning Point USA’s AmFest conference this weekend in Phoenix.

The couple were interviewed by former college swimmer Riley Gaines, who played a video about how they met, then asked them for tips on how to have a successful marriage, prioritizing their family life, their faith and their careers.

Sean and Rachel, both 54, met in 1998 in the television reality show, “Road Rules: All Stars.” They fell in love, and married in April 1999. Nine children and 26 years later, they are still going strong.

“Women who make professional sacrifices for their sake of their family actually poll higher in happiness,” Rachel said. She emphasized that no matter how successful a person’s career, at the end of the day, it won’t be your boss holding your hand when you’re on your death bed, but it will be your spouse and your children.

Stressing the importance of faith she said when they married, there were actually 3 people getting married, “Me, Sean and God.”
