MSNBC host Jen Psaki appeared visibly distraught when she learned the cold hard facts about what voters out on the streets really think of Kamala Harris.
In the days leading up to the Democratic National Convention, former CNN host Don Lemon took off on a road trip and interviewed people on the streets in multiple cities, including, Atlanta City, New Jersey; Cleveland, Ohio; Pittsburgh, PA, and in Chicago, Illinois.
Lemon, a liberal Democrat who has continuously railed against former President Donald Trump and is a Harris supporter, posted videos last week on social media of the results of his interviews. The majority of the people he spoke too, including mostly Black people, said they were voting for Trump, and voiced this distrust and opposition to Harris.
In an interview Sunday with MSNBC host Jen Psaki, Lemon told her that many people he spoke to did not even know who Harris is, although he noted that in Philadelphia, people were a bit more liberal.
“But for the most part in Pittsburgh, or the Jersey Shore, in Atlantic City, in Ohio, many people did not know who she was. They were not familiar with her… so I think she has to reintroduce herself to the public. But for him [Trump], they thought that he’s better for the economy. That he brought money into the community, that he was on Black people’s side.”
