Pro-Palestinian protesters disrupted the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the second year, blocking floats and prompting over 20 arrests.
About 25 masked individuals ran in front of the Ronald McDonald float with Palestinian flags and a banner reading “Don’t celebrate genocide” and “Land back!”
Journalist Talia Jane captured footage of protesters sitting in a line across the street, blocking the parade while chanting “Free, free Palestine!” amid boos from onlookers. The arguments escalated into profanities as the crowd’s boos toward the protesters intensified.
