From the New York Post: President Trump insisted Tuesday that a video showing objects being hurled from a second-floor White House window was “probably AI-generated” — despite an aide confirming the bizarre footage was real and the result of a contractor’s work.
“That’s probably AI-generated,” Trump said in response to a question about the footage during an Oval Office event at which he announced the Space Force’s headquarters were moving to Huntsville, Ala.
“Actually you can’t open the windows. You know why? They’re all heavily armored and bulletproof,” the president added.
Trump said First Lady Melania Trump has even complained that the windows can’t be opened so they can have fresh air.
“But you can’t. They’re bulletproof, number one. They’re sealed. And number two, each window weighs about 600 pounds. You have to be pretty strong to open them up,” the president said.
Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked Trump about the viral video circulating on social media, and showed it to him on his phone while Trump was taking questions in the Oval Office.
But Trump seemed certain the windows can’t be opened, and suggested it was an AI-generated video.
However, a White House official had later told the press that it was a contractor doing routine maintenance while President Trump was gone over the weekend, who threw the bags out the window.
