President Donald Trump is delivering an address to a Joint Session of Congress Tuesday night, with the theme: “Renewal of the American Dream.”
Trump’s speech will feature four main pillars: the achievements from Trump’s second term so far at home and abroad; what Trump’s policies have done for the economy; the push for Congress to pass additional funding for border security; and President Trump’s plans for peace around the world.
In a post on Truth Social Monday morning, President Trump simply wrote, “TOMORROW NIGHT WILL BE BIG. I WILL TELL IT LIKE IT IS!”
According to Rasmussen Reports daily presidential tracking poll, Trump currently has a 50% approval rating.
Some Democrats have declared they have plans to disrupt President Trump’s speech Tuesday night, including storming out if he makes a comment they object to. Others intend to sit stone-faced in their seat and refuse to applaud for anything. Still other Democrats have reportedly discussed bringing props with them, including signs, hand clappers, and egg cartons.
Democrat socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY) announced that she will not be attending President Trump’s address, and said she’ll be going on Instagram Live after the speech is over.

Meanwhile, Republican Sen. Bernie Moreno of Ohio, who was born in Colombia and immigrated to the U.S. as a child, announced he will be bringing U.S. flags to hand out to all Republican senators ahead of Trump’s speech.
Moreno told Fox News in an interview, “The idea is very simple. Look, I came to this country from somewhere else. I became a naturalized citizen. I stood in front of a really angry Marine who put his finger in my face and said, ‘You better remember that you only bow to one flag.’ And I think the idea that we have Democrats that bring the flags of other countries into the chamber is a disgrace.”
Ahead of Trump’s address, House Speaker Mike Johnson released a short video ad and wrote, “The GREATEST comeback in Presidential HISTORY! Tonight President Trump makes his return to the House floor to address Congress and the American people. 🇺🇸”
