America’s 249th birthday was celebrated with fireworks across the nation Friday evening, and the patriotic joy was on full display in Washington, D.C., as President Donald Trump once again celebrated the holiday from the White House.
Trump was not only celebrating the July 4th holiday, but also the passage of his highly coveted “Big Beautiful Bill” which he signed into law during the festivities earlier Friday evening.
President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump then came out onto the White House balcony to watch the fireworks.
When they first appeared, just prior to the fireworks show, the crowd below cheered and yelled, “We love you!” and chanted, “USA! USA!”
Trump blew them kisses, which prompted even louder cheering from the crowd below. Then, in a sweet, happy moment, Trump reached over and pulled Melania close to him, as she smiled and the crowd cheered and whistled.
Did you see the kiss?

After the 20-minute fireworks show concluded, the “YMCA” song was played, and Trump started doing his famous “Trump dance.”
Then, in a lighthearted moment, First Lady Melania joined in, dancing along with him.

Earlier on Friday, the First Lady posted a photo from inside the White House and wrote, “This Independence Day, we will celebrate our heroes and their families at the @WhiteHouse with a special picnic and breathtaking flyovers by F-22s, F-35s, and a B-2! Let’s honor the sacrifices of our military families as we come together in gratitude and joy.”
