President Donald Trump is wasting no time getting to work, both in the Oval Office and across the country.  Trump is touring the devastation left behind by the hurricane and flooding in North Carolina earlier this year, and will then be going to Los Angeles, California, to tour the devastation due to the wildfires.

Friday morning, Trump and First Lady Melania Trump took the Marine One helicopter to Joint Base Andrews, where they boarded Air Force One for the first time since leaving office four years ago.

Trump had earlier announced that he would be going to California on Friday, but had not mentioned that the first part of the trip would include a stop in North Carolina.

After touring California later on Friday, the Trumps will fly to Nevada where they will spend the night ahead of a rally in Las Vegas on Saturday.  Trump has said earlier this week that he wants to go to Nevada to thank the people for helping him win the state in the November election.

Trump’s Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino shared a video of the President and First Lady speaking with reporters outside the White House Friday morning, as Marine One is seen waiting in the background:

Another video shows them headed toward Air Force One. Scavino writes:

President Trump and First Lady Melania go from Marine One to Air Force One. They are on their way to North Carolina and California to survey damage and receive briefings on areas devastated by Hurricane Helene (NC) and recent fires (CA).

President Trump, upon departing the White House said, “We’re going to get it fixed up. It should’ve been done months ago.”

Trump assistant Margo Martin posted a video as the President and First Lady arrived in North Carolina.

Trump and Melania then took time to speak to a crowd of supporters waiting at the airport:
