While testifying before the House Homeland Security Committee about worldwide threats facing the nation on Thursday, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem fired right back at multiple Democrat congress members who wildly called for her to resign or be impeached.
Ranking member Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) attacked Noem right off the bat, in his opening statement, even before she had said a word.
“You have systematically dismantled the Department of Homeland Security, put your own interests above the department, and violated the law. You are making America less safe. So, rather than sitting here and wasting your time and ours with more corruption, lies, and lawlessness, I call on you to resign. Do a real service to the country and just resign. That is, if President Trump doesn’t fire you first,” Thompson snarled.

Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-IL) accused Noem of misusing resources appropriated by Congress, engaging in unethical behavior, making false and misleading statements to Congress, and evading congressional oversight.
“Your options are limited. Either you’re going to resign, Trump’s going to fire you, or you will be impeached,” Ramirez fumed, adding, “I urge you to reconsider resignation because I’ve taken the first step towards your impeachment and I’ve called on the Judiciary Committee to open an investigation into your lawlessness.”
She later posted a video of her comments and confirmed, “Yes, I’m taking the first step towards Noem’s impeachment. I demand a full investigation into Secretary Noem’s unlawful actions and unethical behavior. The people will have accountability.”
Allegedly, Ramirez is an “anchor baby,” whose mother illegally crossed into the United States before she was born.

Rep. Shri Thanedar (D-Mich.), an immigrant from India, snarled at Noem, saying, “I am sick of your lies. The American people are sick of your lies.”
Noem retorted, “America is very happy that, finally, they have a president in the White House that gets up every day to keep them safe.”
Thanedar said, “Madam Secretary, your incompetence and your inability to truthfully carry out your duties as Secretary of Homeland Security… if you’re not fired, will you resign?”
Noem fired back, “I will consider your asking me to resign as an endorsement of my work.”
