Minnesota Democrat Governor and Kamala Harris’ former running mate Tim Walz had a major meltdown on Monday, after President Donald Trump signed an executive order announcing that anyone who burns an American flag in a protest act will be prosecuted.
“Our great American Flag is the most sacred and cherished symbol of the United States of America, and of American freedom, identity, and strength. Over nearly two-and-a-half centuries, many thousands of American patriots have fought, bled, and died to keep the Stars and Stripes waving proudly,” Trump’s executive order reads.
“The American Flag is a special symbol in our national life that should unite and represent all Americans of every background and walk of life. Desecrating it is uniquely offensive and provocative. It is a statement of contempt, hostility, and violence against our Nation — the clearest possible expression of opposition to the political union that preserves our rights, liberty, and security. Burning this representation of America may incite violence and riot. American Flag burning is also used by groups of foreign nationals as a calculated act to intimidate and threaten violence against Americans because of their nationality and place of birth,” the statement continues.
Trump’s order also states that foreign nationals who burn or desecrate the American flag could have their visas revoked and be deported.
“If you burn a flag, you get one year in jail,” President Trump declared Monday morning in the Oval Office.

Speaking at the summer meeting of the Democratic National Committee in Minneapolis on Monday, Walz went ballistic, as he slammed Trump for deploying the National Guard to stop crime in Washington, D.C., then erupted into a fit of rage over Trump’s opposition to burning the American flag.
“Think of how easy it would be to be a damn Republican. Oh, what should I wear today? This stupid, frickin’ red hat,” Walz screeched.
“What should I say today? I don’t know, just make sure it’s cruel. Who do we listen to? That guy… Oh, the felon in the White House? Yeah, listen to him and that will be fine,” he continued, yelling and waving his arms.
“Now he’s talking about burning flags, he’s gonna have flag burning or whatever. Because he knows there’s a hell of a lot of flag with his picture on it that are gonna get burned!” Walz added, implying that people should go out and burn Trump flags.
Trump’s Rapid Response team posted a video clip of Walz’s mad fit and wrote, “Tim Walz is a deeply disturbed individual. Here he is coming unglued over a “stupid frickin’ red hat” and suggesting people burn flags with President Trump’s photo on them.”

“I saw a statistic today… Minnesota ranks the highest per capita for being a safe haven for transgender individuals,” he bragged.
Walz also touted that historians will “write about this time period, when he [Trump] is pushed to the dustbin of history.”

For nearly 250 years, Americans have fought & died to keep the Stars & Stripes waving proudly. It unites all Americans & desecrating it is an offensive act of contempt against our nation’s rights & liberty.”
