Amid the violent rioting taking place in Los Angeles, radical Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters (Calif.) raised a ruckus on Sunday, as she headed down to the Federal Building in Los Angeles, where the National Guard has been deployed.

Waters, 86, has served in U.S. Congress for the past 34 years. Her district includes much of the area where thousands of rioters have taken to the streets over the weekend to protest the immigration enforcement activities being carried out by ICE in the “sanctuary city.”

The protests have turned violent, as the rioters have thrown rocks and fireworks at federal agents and police, set fires, including burning a vehicle, vandalized and looted a gas station, and more.

The rioters have received encouragement from local officials, who have also condemned ICE’s efforts to arrest illegal alien criminals, including LA Mayor Karen Bass and Gov. Gavin Newsom.  Another official, David Huerta, the president of one the largest unions in California, was arrested Friday and charged with interfering with federal agents during an ICE operation, when he “deliberately obstructed their access by blocking their vehicle.” He is still being held in jail and faces arraignment in federal court on Monday.

On Sunday, Rep. Maxine Waters went to the federal building, declaring she was there to check on Huerta, and got the door slammed in her face.

X user Stu, a citizen journalist, posted a video of the incident.

Waters marched up the steps and told the official at the door, “I just came to use my congressional authority to check on David Huerta.”

The official told her the building was closed to all visitors, but Waters screeched, “I need to get in!”

The official slammed the door in her face, WHAM!

Stu explained, “Members of Congress have oversight authority but must give advance notice to access federal buildings. Security concerns, ongoing investigations, or risks to personnel can lead to entry being denied—even with “congressional authority” cited.”

Also still at the federal building, Waters went on an unhinged rant against President Donald Trump and his deployment of the National Guard.

“He’s using deportation as a way to enhance his position with all those right-wingers out there, who do not want this country to be a country of people coming from other places. It’s outrageous, it’s horrible, and we’ve got to make sure that we do everything that we possibly can, because I think he’s up to creating martial law!” Waters raged.

Referring to the National Guard, she continued, “I don’t know why they’re here with guns. Who are they going to shoot and for what? Are you going to shoot a kid running away just because they’re afraid of him? Are you going to shoot a protester just because you don’t like what they’re saying? Why are these guns here?”

“We’re a sanctuary city, we know Trump doesn’t like us… he even alluded to civil war at one point,” she claimed.

One X user shared a photo from the rioting, and wrote, “Dear @RepMaxineWaters, This isn’t a civil war!”

The photo is of a man standing in front of a burned vehicle, waving a large Mexican flag, implying that this is a war over a Mexican invasion, not a civil war between American citizens.
