Nicolás Maduro is arriving in the United States from the Caribbean.
Maduro is facing charges of narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine importation conspiracy, possession of machine guns and destructive devices, and conspiracy to possess machine guns and destructive devices against the U.S.
He is scheduled to travel to a New York-area airport, according to “multiple officials briefed on the matter,” NBC News reported.
According to the outlet, “Upon arrival, he is scheduled to be helicoptered to a location in New York City where he will be processed then ultimately transported to a jail facility, the Metropolitan Detention Center, the officials say.”
Maduro will make a court appearance by Monday evening, the report said.
