On July 13, just less than three months ago, former President Donald Trump was in the middle of a rally speech at a fairgrounds in Butler, Pennsylvania when he was interrupted by an attempted assassination.

A 20-year-old gunman opened fire while perched atop a nearby building at the July 13 rally. Miraculously, Trump turned his head just as the bullet whizzed by, resulting in him only getting shot in the ear. Three other rally attendees in the stands behind Trump were shot, one fatally. The gunman was then killed by a counter sniper.

Now, true to his “fight back” nature, Trump is returning to the scene Saturday afternoon to hold another rally. His speech is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.

In an interview this week with News Nation, Trump said, “I’m going back to Butler because I feel I have an obligation to go back to Butler. We never finished what we were supposed to do. I said that day, when I was shot, I said, ‘We’re coming back. We’re going to come back.’ And I’m fulfilling a promise. I’m fulfilling, really, an obligation.”

Security will be tight at the rally on Saturday, and Trump will be surrounded by bulletproof glass, according to an ABC News report.

A seat has been “reserved” in tribute to Corey Comperatore, the firefighter who was killed in the shooting on July 13. His family are expected to be special guests at the rally.  Also in attendance will be David Dutch, one of those who were injured.

On Friday, Trump’s longtime aide, Dan Scavino, wrote on social media, “Tomorrow will be a big part of the healing process for those of us who were in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024 when those shots rang out. None of us ever expected to leave that site the way we did—ending up at a hospital in total shock with 45, praying. We all cannot wait to be there tomorrow, it is going to be a very special evening for all.
🙏🏻🇺🇸🦅.”

ELON MUSK TO SPEAK AT BUTLER, PA RALLY

The Trump campaign released a full list of special guests who will attend his rally in Butler on Saturday.  Included on that list is X owner Elon Musk, who publicly endorsed Trump immediately after the July 13 assassination attempt.

“Headed to Pennsylvania to speak at the @realDonaldTrump rally in Butler!” Musk announced Saturday afternoon.

In a separate post, Musk warned, “If @realDonaldTrump doesn’t win, the Democrats will have 4 years to turn swing states in permanent deep blue states.”

People were already lining up to get into the rally at 6:00 am Saturday morning – a full 11 hours before Trump was scheduled to take the stage.

By 9 am, an endless line of people had already gathered to wait until start time.

There are TWO “overflow” fields set up for attendees. Several have stated that over 100,000 tickets were requested for the rally.
