After delivering a rousing speech before the Israeli parliament Monday morning to celebrate the release of the last hostages being held by Hamas, President Donald Trump has traveled to Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt to attend an “International Peace Summit.”
Egypt’s president, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, has announced that he would chair the summit alongside President Trump.
More than 20 world leaders are expected to attend, including the emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, and Turkey’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. However, Hamas is not expected to participate in the event.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was invited, but has declined to come, due to time constraints ahead of the start of the holiday.” October 13–15 marks Shemini Atzeret, followed by Simchat Torah on October 15, Fox News explained.
