President Trump welcomed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House Monday afternoon, and the two leaders will be speaking to reporters in the Oval Office at around 2:30 p.m. ET.
Ahead of the visit, Netanyahu’s office said he and Trump “will discuss the tariff issue, the efforts to return our hostages, Israel-Turkey relations, the Iranian threat and the battle against the International Criminal Court.”
Netanyahu arrived in Washington, D.C. Sunday afternoon, and spent the night at the Blair House, just across the street from the White House, where foreign dignitaries coming to visit the president often stay.
Trump was seen greeting the prime minister as he arrived just after lunch on Monday. Netanyahu stepped out of the car wearing a red tie, to match Trump’s.
President Trump is heard saying, “How are you? Nice tie!”
