President Donald Trump will be participating in a luncheon Monday with board members of the Trump Kennedy Performing Arts Center. Just prior to the luncheon, Trump will hold a news conference in the East Room of the White House.
Trump announced on Truth Social earlier Monday morning, “News Conference today, prior to Trump Kennedy Center Board Meeting. Thank you!”
The news conference is expected to start at or about 11:45 a.m. ET.
Later Monday afternoon, President Trump and Vice President JD Vance are scheduled to participate in a 3:30 p.m. Oval Office event at which Vance will formally be named head of the administration’s anti-benefit fraud task force, the New York Post reported.
Meanwhile, due to severe storms hitting the Washington, D.C. area on Monday, Congress has cancelled all planned votes for the day.
