White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is holding a press briefing Wednesday afternoon. It is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m. ET.
The press conference comes just hours after House Democrats sent liberal media into a tizzy by releasing three “bombshell” emails from the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Also happening on Wednesday: House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., is scheduled to swear in Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva, an Arizona Democrat who won a special election last month. Johnson had refused to conduct the swearing-in ceremony until the government shutdown issue was resolved.
Once she is sworn into office, Grijalva has vowed to provide the final signature on a discharge petition which would override Johnson and force a vote on a House bill compelling the Department of Justice to release the government’s entire investigative files on Epstein.
Leavitt is certain to be pounded with questions on the Epstein scandal during the White House briefing Wednesday afternoon.
