From The Hill: FBI Director Christopher Wray is slated to testify Wednesday before the House Judiciary Committee.

Wednesday’s hearing will examine the FBI’s investigation into the assassination attempt against former President Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pa. The hearing will also delve into allegations of politicization of the nation’s preeminent law enforcement agency under the direction of Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland and oversight of the FBI.

This comes after Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned on Tuesday, while admitting her agency’s handling of the incident was a “colossal failure.”

The hearing with Wray just started at 10:00 am ET.

In his opening statement, Democrat Rep. Jerry Nadler (NY) made it clear he doesn’t like Trump, but still condemned the attack on his life. Nadler then launched into a long list of examples of “political violence,” highlighting multiple incidents indicating attacks from the right against those on the left, including the January 6, 2021 riot at the capitol.
