Border Czar Tom Homan, who President Donald Trump recently sent to handle the federal immigration operations in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is holding a press briefing Thursday morning.

This comes after weeks of chaos in the city, as the mobs of anti-ICE activists have become more confrontational and violent, resulting in the shooting deaths of two activists.

Homan announced on Tuesday, “Today I met with Governor Walz, Mayor Frey, and top law enforcement officials to discuss the issues on the ground in Minnesota. We all agree that we need to support our law enforcement officers and get criminals off the streets.”

“While we don’t agree on everything, these meetings were a productive starting point and I look forward to more conversations with key stakeholders in the days ahead. President Trump has been clear: he wants American cities to be safe and secure for law-abiding residents — and they will be,” Homan added.

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Wednesday, “I am on the ground in Minneapolis today. Federal agents have arrested 16 Minnesota rioters for allegedly assaulting federal law enforcement — people who have been resisting and impeding our federal law enforcement agents. We expect more arrests to come. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: NOTHING will stop President Trump and this Department of Justice from enforcing the law.”

Trump began his briefing by saying President Trump called him Monday morning and asked him to go to Minneapolis, and he arrived Monday evening.

“I’m staying till the problem’s gone,” he declared. “I didn’t come here for photo ops, I cam here to find solutions,” he added.

Homan announced that Minnesota attorney general Keith Ellison has agreed that ICE may be notified when criminal illegal aliens are about to be released, so they can apprehend them at the jail instead of waiting to hunt them down in the community.

He explained that they will be able to have fewer immigration agents in the city if they are allowed to pick up the criminal illegal aliens from inside the safety of the jails. Homan noted that Border Patrol agents were brought in to help them, due to the high level of violence from the anti-ICE agitators.
