With only 4 and a half days left in the White House, Joe Biden is delivering a “farewell address” from the Oval Office Wednesday night.
Wednesday morning, a “farewell letter” from Biden was posted on the White House website.
On Monday, a statement posted to Biden’s X account boldly claims, “Since Kamala and I took office, our nation has become stronger at home and in the world. America today is more capable and prepared than we have been for a long time. While competitors are facing stiff headwinds, we have the wind at our back. This is what we’re handing over.”
Since Kamala and I took office, our nation has become stronger at home and in the world.
America today is more capable and prepared than we have been for a long time.
While competitors are facing stiff headwinds, we have the wind at our back.
This is what we’re handing over.

In an indication of how the speech is going to go, the following message was posted on Biden’s X account Wednesday:
“Four years ago, our country was hit by the worst pandemic and economic crisis in a century. But we came together as Americans and emerged stronger, more prosperous, and more secure. Join me tonight as I reflect on our progress and deliver my farewell address to the nation.”
