WATCH: Liberal media pushes wild conspiracy about Elon Musk gesture

Liberals are freaking out over Elon Musk’s animated speech at the Capitol One Arena in Washington, D.C. Monday afternoon, following President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

During his speech, Musk appeared to be overcome with emotion at one point, and extended his hand out to the crowd. Leftist CNN hosts then tried to imply on national television that Musk was making a Nazi salute.

Musk first bounded onto the stage in a burst of energy, yelling, “Yessss! This is what victory feels like! Yes!”

“This was no ordinary victory. This was a fork in the road of human civilization,” he said, adding, “There are elections that come and go… some are important, some are not… but this one really mattered. And I just want to say ‘thank you’ for making it happen. Thank you!”

He held his hand over his heart, then extended his hand outward to the crowd.

“My heart goes out to you!” he said, adding, “It is thanks to you that the future of civilization is assured.

Without providing the full context of Musk’s words, CNN hosts Erin Burnett and Kasie Hunt pounced on what they called a “salute,” and implied it meant something nefarious.

Burnett first called attention to the “salute” and said they were going to play it again for viewers.

“It’s a salute. It was quick. I think our viewers are smart and they can take a look at that, but it certainly was, it’s not something that you typically see at American political rallies,” Hunt replied.

Journalist Collin Rugg shared a clip of CNN’s meltdown, followed by Musk’s exact words.

PBS News, a publicly funded news outlet, also pushed the wild conspiracy, writing, “Billionaire Elon Musk gave what appeared to be a fascist salute Monday while making a speech at the post-inauguration celebration for President Donald Trump at the Capital One Arena.”

Prominent X user Kaizen D. Asiedu, a motivational speaker, explained, “The Nazi salute does not involve placing the palm on the heart. You could conclude that Elon tried to do the Nazi salute and failed to do it properly. Or that he was excited, awkward, not thinking about how he looks, and trying to show his heart going out to the crowd.”

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk reacted to CNN’s wild allegations, writing, “This is just ridiculous. Elon Musk says his heart goes out to the patriots in Capital One Arena, so he pounds his chest and waves at the crowd.

“CNN: Musk just gave a Nazi salute!!

“These people are so thirsty for controversy and racism—that doesn’t exist—it’s astounding.”

Radio host and X user “Johnny Midnight” wrote, “WTF? CNN is seriously insinuating that Elon Musk made a Nazı salute at Trump’s rally? These people must have people make this stuff up from a Comedy show. Who can take them seriously anymore? They’ve learned NOTHING from this election. Not a thing.”
