Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Tex.), a radical Democrat whose congressional district includes a large portion of Dallas, Texas, is in hot water again.
Crockett was a guest speaker at the Grace Baptist Church 125th anniversary program in Waterbury, Connecticut over the weekend, and launched into a spill about why the United States needs illegal aliens.
In a tirade against deportations by the Trump administration, Crockett wildly claimed that illegal aliens are need to pick cotton, because Black Americans aren’t going to do it anymore.
“So I had to go around the country and educate people about what immigrants do for this country or the fact that we are a country of immigrants. The fact is, ain’t none of y’all trying to go and farm right now,” Crockett claimed.
“Okay so i’m lying, raise your hands,” she insisted, adding, “You’re not. We done picking cotton. We are. You can’t pay us enough to find a plantation!”
Crockett did not mention that cotton is no longer picked by hand, but by machine now, and laborers haven’t been out in the fields picking cotton for decades.

Crockett made similar comments while speaking at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival on March 8.
“How many of you are sending your kids to college to go and work on the farms?” Crockett asked, adding that the illegal aliens are needed to make this country great, because they are the ones who provide our food, make beds at hotels and build our houses – all jobs that “y’all don’t want to do.”
Social media is blasting Crockett over her “cotton-picking” stunt.
Coby Marcum, who is running for governor of California, wrote, “I’m running for Governor of California. My first job was working in cotton fields in West Texas for a farmer from church. My job was spraying and hoeing weeds around age 14 or 15. Jasmine Crockett talks about working in the cotton fields and I’m like 🤔 really Jasmine? Have you ever worked in a cotton field? 🤔”

In the United States, cotton is predominantly harvested using mechanical methods. Over 99% of the national cotton area is harvested mechanically, with two main methods: machine picking and machine stripping.
