After after launching a massive wave of airstrikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities, Israel has confirmed that their reason for doing so was to stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, and says they were very close to doing so.

“Iran has produced enough highly enriched uranium for nine atom bombs, nine,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned. “In recent months, Iran is taking steps that it has never taken before, steps to weaponize this enriched uranium. And if not stopped, Iran could produce a nuclear weapon in a very short time.”

In a series of posts on social media, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has stressed that Iran was a threat to the world, and not just to Israel.

Israel posted a map showing the vast number of countries are within reach of Iran and wrote, “Iran is a global threat. Israel is not the end goal, it’s only the beginning. We had no other choice but to act.”

Israel also released a chilling video, of multiple Iranian leaders vowing to not only wipe out Israel, but to attack the United States as well.

The video includes footage of Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. commander Gen. Hossein Salami, who was killed in today’s strikes, from a speech in February 2019.

Salami declares in his speech, “Our war is not a domestic war. We have a plan to defeat the world powers. We are planning to break the United States, Israel, and their partners. Our ground forces need to cleanse the world from their filthiness and from their existence.”

Also in the video, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei says just last month, “The Zionist regime is the root of corruption, war and disputes. The Zionist regime is a dangerous cancer in the region that needs to be uprooted and banished.”

The crowd starts chanting, “Allah Akbar,” then “Death to opponents of the regime, Death to the USA, Death to the United Kingdom, and Death to Israel.”

Salami has now been eliminated but Khamenei was not, and he is vowing revenge.

In another post on X, the IDF announced:

IAF fighter jets, guided by precise intelligence, struck the Iranian regime’s uranium enrichment site in the Natanz area overnight. This is the largest uranium enrichment site in Iran, which has operated for years to achieve nuclear weapons capability and houses the infrastructure required for enriching uranium to military-grade levels.

As part of the strikes, the underground area of the site was damaged. This area contains a multi-story enrichment hall with centrifuges, electrical rooms, and additional supporting infrastructure. In addition, critical infrastructure enabling the site’s continuous operation and the Iranian regime’s ongoing efforts to obtain nuclear weapons were targeted.

We will continue to operate to prevent the Iranian Regime from acquiring nuclear weapons.
