From the New York Post: An illegal immigrant accused of attempting to kill a woman in a “twisted” caught-on-video “version of Russian roulette” in Venezuela wept like a baby as the feds collared him on the streets of Texas, The Post can reveal.

Illegal migrant Raul Enrique Pargas Rodriguez, 31, fled Venezuela after trying to murder the helpless woman, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) told The Post.

Pargas Rodriguez crossed the Texas border illegally on Aug. 10, 2022, and was quickly released by overwhelmed border agents under the Biden administration, who had no information on his dark past.

The Maduro regime wasn’t sharing information with the feds under former President Joe Biden, leaving federal law enforcement in the dark about the thousands of Venezuelans sneaking over the border each month.

A video originally posted to Instagram on April 9, 2021 shows security camera footage of Pargas Rodriguez grabbing the woman in Venezuela, whom he allegedly lured to his workshop on Feb. 24, 2021, by the neck and holding a gun to her head. She eventually managed to escape.

The caption on the video reads, in part:

“Raúl Enrique Pargas Rodríguez, 26, the man who went viral on social media after being caught assaulting, harassing, and attempting to murder a woman in a workshop cubicle in Barquisimeto, was arrested this Thursday.

“Physical violence, psychological violence, attempted aggravated femicide, and illegal possession of a firearm are the crimes Raúl Pargas is facing. Officers from the Directorate of Intelligence and Preventive Strategies (DIEP) arrested him at 6:30 p.m. at house number 27 in the Villas del Este development, located in the El Ujano sector, Santa Rosa parish of Barquisimeto.

“In addition to the crimes against women, the now detained man also charged with resisting arrest, insulting officials, and assaulting officers when he struggled with one of the officers, including supervisor Suárez Quero, who ended up with a dislocated shoulder.”

Somehow, Pargas Rodriguez was able to flee Venezuela and illegally crossed the border into the United States.

At some point while in the U.S., he allegedly assaulted an ICE officer, and was in the Dallas County Jail in late November 2023. However, the Biden administration let him go.

Under the Trump administration, ICE agents finally captured Pargas Rodriguez on August 14 in Plano, Texas, a suburb of Dallas.  Now he’s headed back to Venezuela on the attempted murder charges.

The U.S. Marshals Service posted a photo of the arrest and wrote, “On 8/14/2025, @USMS_Dallas, the Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force, and @ERODallas arrested Raul Pargas Rodriguez in Plano, TX for a Murder warrant out of Venezuela. Pargas Rodriguez is also a suspect in a Sexual Assault case in Dallas, TX.”

In a video posted by New York Post reporter Jennie Taer, the captured illegal alien fugitive is seen sobbing after being arrested.
