Fox News host Sean Hannity’s exclusive interview with President Donald Trump and Elon Musk aired Tuesday night.
Musk, who Trump appointed to oversee the Department of Government Efficiency, is volunteering his time, with no salary.
Trump and Musk spoke about the massive waste and fraud that the DOGE team has already uncovered across multiple government agencies. They also discussed the liberal media’s hysteria over DOGE, and acknowledged the left’s efforts to try to drive them apart.
Musk announced his endorsement for Trump on July 13, the day Trump was shot in the ear during an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. About 30 minutes after the shooting, Musk posted his endorsement on X for all the world to see.
During the interview that aired Tuesday night, Musk shared one detail President Trump never knew.
“I was going to do it anyway,” Musk said of his endorsement for Trump.
“That sped it up a little bit?” Trump asked Musk. “I didn’t know that.”
Musk replied, “It sped it up, but I was going to do it anyway.”
Elon Musk confirms he was always planning to endorse Trump—the Butler setup just pushed it faster.

Trump swatted down the Democrats’ false allegations that he would destroy social security and Medicare.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: “Social Security won’t be touched, other than if there’s fraud or something. It’s going to be strengthened. Medicare, Medicaid — none of that stuff is going to be touched.
