The House Oversight Committee posted a video on X Tuesday of Republican Rep. Andy Biggs (AZ) schooling a young progressive Democrat on key immigration issues.
The key point of discussion appears to be whether illegal aliens should be counted in the U.S. Census.
Democrats have been fuming over President Donald Trump’s request that a new census must exclude illegal aliens, claiming Trump is trying to cheat. Democrats have boldly admitted that they want all non-citizens counted as well, as it impacts the number of congressional representatives they are allowed, as well as federal funding.
In the newly-released video, Rep. Biggs, who is running for governor of Arizona, was in a debate with Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-Fla.), a far-left progressive and former director of the gun control group, March For Our Lives. Now 28, Frost was only 25 when he was first elected to Congress in 2022.
“What does the T in TPS stand for?” Biggs asked Frost.
At first, Frost refused to answer, instead raging against Trump, as he said, “He is creating more undocumented people.” [Referring to the Trump administration cancelling the Temporary Parole Status for over 350,000 Haitian migrants.]
Finally Frost admitted that the T stands for “temporary.”
Biggs said that means that people have been paroled into the country for a temporary period of time, but instead, some have been here for over 20 years, “and they won’t go home.”
Frost stammered around, trying to claim that most Americans do not support Trump’s immigration policies.
Biggs went back to the census counting issue, and said there are as many as 7 representatives in Congress from California alone who shouldn’t be there because illegal aliens were counted in the census.
