In a recent interview with the conservative British news channel, GB News, Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw of Texas was caught on a hot mic declaring he would kill podcast host Tucker Carlson if he ever saw him.
GB News posted a video of the full interview (minus the hot mic moment) on YouTube last Thursday, February 20.
In the interview, Crenshaw, a former Navy SEAL, spoke with GB News reporter Steven Edginton, and blasted Carlson for his trip to Moscow last year.
Crenshaw also slammed Carlson for his stance against sending money to Ukraine, and declared, “We spent 75-80 percent of our budget on a welfare state in America, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid. I would love to ask Tucker what he thinks that $100 billion should be spent on and if he would vote on it as a conservative. Tucker doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”
On Monday, Edginton shared one little detail that was omitted from the YouTube video GBNews had posted. At the end of the interview, as aides were removing their mics, the mics were still on.
Edginton wrote: “After our interview I asked Dan Crenshaw if he had ever met
@TuckerCarlson. He said: “I would kill him if I saw him.” I laughed it off. He said: “No seriously, I would kill him.”

Edginton added, “I kept the receipts…. Proof Dan Crenshaw said he would KILL Tucker Carlson if he met him. He told me when I laughed it wasn’t a joke.”
He shared a link to a video clip of the hot mic moment, which GBNews later deleted. However, other X users have copied the clip and posted it to social media, so it is now going viral.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) pounced on the news, and wrote, “.@DanCrenshawTX did you threaten to kill my friend @TuckerCarlson?”

Now Crenshaw has not only threatened to kill Tucker Carlson, but he has also lied about it. Filmmaker Robby Starbuck is just one of many who have posted the video EVIDENCE, showing he did, indeed, make the threat.
As they were getting up, Edginton asks, “Have you ever met Tucker?”
Crenshaw replies, “We’ve talked a lot on Twitter. If I ever meet him, I’ll f‑‑‑ing kill him.”
“He’s the worst,” Crenshaw adds.

A spokesperson from Crenshaw’s office responded to an inquiry from The Hill, saying Crenshaw was not serious about the threat.
Elon Musk responded to the scandal, asking, “Why is Crenshaw homicidal regarding Tucker?”
Tucker Carlson then called out Crenshaw with a challenge: “Why don’t you come sit for an interview and we’ll see how you do? I’ll send you my address, @DanCrenshawTX.”
