During a testy interview with the liberal teachers union president Randi Weingarten Tuesday afternoon, Fox News host Martha MacCallum managed to keep her cool, until Weingarten crossed the line of respect, and then the gloves came off.

The topic of discussion was about the Supreme Court case on whether parents have the right to withdraw their children from exposure to LGBTQ-related books in school.

“My concern about this case is that it could pit people against each other when what we really need to be doing is we need to be making sure that every one of God’s children is accepted in our classrooms,” Weingarten claimed, appearing to be upset that the concerned parents dared to bring the matter to the Supreme Court.

“Whether that person is an evangelical Christian or whether that is the daughter or the son of gay parents, that is our obligation in schools. So it’s a failure of all of us that this case is in the Supreme Court right now,” she added.

MacCallum pointed out the public school system’s absolute failure, as many schools have seen a severe decline in reading and math scores across the nation over the past twenty years.

Throughout the interview, Weingarten often spoke over MacCallum, who was becoming irritated with her.

At one point, as the temperature was rising, Weingarten condescendingly said, “Martha, Martha, sweetheart… sweetheart… listen to me…”

That was too much for MacCallum, who retorted, “Please don’t call me sweetheart.”

“I’m sorry, my bad,” Weingarten grudgingly replied.
