After the heated interview with Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris concluded Wednesday evening, Fox News host Bret Baier revealed several things that had occurred behind the scenes.
First, Baier said the Harris team tried to reduce the amount of time allotted for the interview, right up front, and Harris arrived late.
“So, we were supposed to start at 5 p.m…. this was the time they gave us, originally. We’re going to do 25 or 30 minutes. They came in and said, ‘Well, maybe 20. So, it was already getting whittled down… And then the vice president showed up at about 5:15,” he explained.
That left his production team scrambling to get the interview finished in time for his 6 p.m. show, the Special Report.
“So, that’s how it started. And I could tell when we started talking that she was going to be tough, to, you know, redirect without me trying to interrupt,” he added.

Baier also revealed that Harris’ team started waving their arms before he was finished, signaling he needed to end it NOW.
“You know, I’m talking like four people waving their hands like, ‘it’s gotta stop!’” he said.
“I had to dismount there at the end,” he joked.
