From the Daily Mail: Danica Patrick confirmed this week that she has never voted in a presidential election but revealed why that would be changing in November.
The former racing driver, 42, recently threw her support behind Donald Trump as she prepares to cast her first ever ballot for the former president.
After previously endorsing Robert F. Kennedy Jr, she later followed him in backing the Republican leader to reclaim the Presidency in November’s election, even joining the likes of former ESPN reporter Sage Steele and Lara Trump on the campaign trail.
Patrick, who previously dated fellow NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr and NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers, has truly stepped on the gas on the political circuit over the course of the past year, going from zero to 100.
Patrick, the only woman to ever win an IndyCar series race, said what really got her off the fence politically was when she attended a four-day Turning Point USA AmFest event in Phoenix last December.
Patrick served as a guest moderator in a town hall event with Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance earlier this month in Greensboro, NC. She announced at that event that she is a first-time voter, and will be voting for the Trump/Vance ticket.

Patrick appeared in a Fox News interview with host Jesse Waters and explained why she is now voting in the presidential election for the first time in her life.
“For so long, racing was all I did. It was my only focus. I didn’t have time or energy to really understand politics even,” Patrick said, adding that now she has gone from never watching the news to it becoming all she ever watches.
Trump thanked Patrick for her endorsement in a Truth Social post Tuesday morning.
“Thank you to the incredible Danica Patrick for such a wonderful and heartfelt Endorsement. I have always been a fan, such courage and talent. MAGA LOVES YOU!!!” he wrote.
Patrick has hit the campaign trail with other Trump-supporting women, including Lara Trump, former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, Sage Steel, Lynn Patton and others.
