The #WalkAway movement, in which former liberals post videos of themselves explaining why they have left the Democrat Party and joined the conservative side, is still going strong.

The movement picked up steam and became a hashtag when former liberal Brandon Straka posted a video on May 26, 2018, explaining why he was walking away from the Democrat Party, and encouraged others to join him.

Below are just a few videos posted to social media this past week, as the exodus continues and more former Democrats are coming aboard the “Trump Train.”

Prominent X user “VitalyTheGoat” posted the following announcement Friday evening, along with “before and after” photos:

Back in 2016 I used to be a Never Trumper. Honestly I didn’t know why. I even streaked the NBA finals with “Trump sucks” written across my chest.

Living in LA had me brainwashed believing he was a racist.

Now, I fully endorse Trump to be the next President of the United States. He is the only man capable for the job. Strong borders, low crime, and a surging economy is what we need.

Don’t be afraid to say speak your mind. Vote Trump. 2024 🇺🇸

Rebecca Collins announced Friday that her entire family had been Democrats. During Covid, she and her husband received a lot of pressure from their family to comply with the mandates, and when they refused, her husband’s family literally stopped communicating with them.  And it gets worse from there….

6 Years Later: Why I Still #WalkAway From the Democrat Party

On May 26, 2018, Brandon Straka shared a video about why he was walking away from the Democrat Party. That video went viral and launched the #WalkAway Campaign, a movement that led to hundreds of thousands of people sharing their own stories and videos of walking away from liberalism and the political left.

Now, 6 years later, Brandon follows up his original video with the first ever “sequel” to it. In this new video, Brandon states in rapid fire succession all that the left has done to erode and destroy our culture, our country, our values, and our freedom.

From the left’s war on reality, to their presumed ownership of minorities, to bringing authoritarianism to America, to weaponizing our justice system… this video speaks to all of it and then some.

A state lawmaker in Texas announced Friday that she was leaving the Democrat Party and coming on board with the Republicans.

State Rep. Shawn Thierry of Houston, who lost her Democrat primary race this year after she voted with Republicans last year on a handful of bills opposed by the LGBTQ+ community, including legislation which banned gender-transitioning care for minors.

Thierry announced that she is now joining the Republican Party, and endorsed Trump.
