WATCH: Democrat Rep Al Green gets booted out of SOTU over crude sign stunt

2

Well, that didn’t take long.

In March of last year, Democrat Rep. Al Green of Texas interrupted Trump’s Address to a Joint Session of Congress by jumping up from his seat, yelling and waving his cane.

Many were speculating whether Green would cause a ruckus during Tuesday night’s speech, and he did, within the first five minutes of Trump’s speech.

Green held up a large sign which read, “BLACK PEOPLE AREN’T APES.”

The sign was in reference to a video about voter fraud which Trump posted several days ago. He was unaware that the video inadvertently included a 2-second blip from a separate Lion King parody video, which featured Barack and Michelle Obama as apes.  Once the video was pointed out to Trump, he removed it from his Truth Social page.

When Green refused to sit down, and held up the crude sign Tuesday night, he was quickly escorted out of the Chamber, while Republicans broke out in chants of “USA! USA!”
