New York Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul posted a video on social media Wednesday, begging everyone to go get a new Covid vaccine, and gave a personal demonstration on just how easy it is.

“The new COVID-19 vaccine is available to New Yorkers now. I got my shot, and you should too! It’s the best way to protect your family and community,” Hochul wrote in her post on X.

In the video, she stands outside on the streets of New York, in front of a CVS store.

Holchul said she’s just “reminding everyone that it’s time to get that Covid shot.”

“I know a lot of us want to forget about Covid. We all know somebody who’s contracted it and not feeling good these days. So here’s how we can prevent it,” Hochul says.

“Get this shot now. Every year you should be thinking about getting that,” she declares.

Hochul then breezes into the CVS store and announces she’s there to get her shot. The first thing she has to do is present her ID for verification.

Hochul’s video stunt is being widely mocked on social media. Several people even asked if it was satire or parody, and some questioned whether she actually got a Covid shot.

Others pointed out that she had to present her ID to get a Covid shot, and asked why ID isn’t required to VOTE.

“They check your ID for a vaccine but not for voting? 😂 Guess which one they really want you to take seriously!” wrote John Acuna.
