A terrifying video went viral on social media Tuesday night, as a raging wildfire roared through Los Angeles neighborhoods, burning homes and forcing thousands to evacuate.
As of Tuesday night, the Palisades Fire, in the wealthy Los Angeles area of Pacific Palisades, had burned 3,000 acres, and was being fueled by strong winds that carried the flames, spreading the fire faster than firefighters could keep up.
At least two people appear to have nearly waited too long to get out.
A video was posted on social media by prominent X user Kevin Dalton, who wrote, “Two men and a dog trapped in a home surrounded by the Palisades fire.”
In the video, one man is standing in the kitchen and filming the scene, as massive flames are seen roaring just outside the windows. At times the wind whips the flames so that the fire nearly engulfs the house.
The men sound nervous, but don’t appear to be making any effort to leave. They confirm that they have turned the gas off, and one man tells the dog that everything is going to be ok. But it looks like the situation is anything BUT ok.

The video prompted a massive outpouring of concern on social media, as everyone is worried about whether they survived.
Later Dalton posted, “I was told they were able to evacuate the property.”

“I am told the dog and both his humans were able to safely evacuate the property,” Dalton again confirmed.
As to whether the home survived…. that is still unknown, but appears doubtful.
