From NBC News: Speaking to reporters this morning, Trump said Hamas didn’t want to reach a ceasefire deal with Israel and said the terrorist group’s members “want to die.”
“It got to a point where you’re going to have to finish the job,” Trump told reporters outside the White House.
His comments come after Trump’s top envoy, Steve Witkoff, said yesterday that he was pulling the U.S. team of negotiators out of Doha, Qatar, after Hamas’ latest response in the talks, saying it “clearly shows a lack of desire to reach a ceasefire in Gaza.”
According to Trump, Hamas “pulled out” of the negotiations.”
“They’re going to have to fight and they’re going to have to clean it up. You’re going to have to get rid of it,” he said. “I think what’s going to happen is they’re going to be hunted down.”
