From the New York Post: A tiny 2-year-old migrant girl who was picked up at the US border clutching a piece of paper with a name and phone number scrawled on it told cops she was there to find her parents, a tragic video shows.
The child from El Salvador, clad in a bright pink jacket, was among a group of more than 200 illegal migrants — including 60 unaccompanied minors — detained after crossing the border into Maverick County, Texas, on Sunday, authorities said.
The Texas Department of Public Safety released the footage of the little girl admitting to cops that she was traveling alone as she answered a slew of questions.
Lieutenant Chris Olivarez, spokesperson with the Texas Department of Public Safety South Texas Region, posted the video on social media on Sunday.

This morning, @TxDPS encountered a group of 211 illegal immigrants in Maverick County. Among the group were 60 unaccompanied children/minors ages 2 – 17 and 6 special interest immigrants from Mali & Angola.
This is a stark example of the precarious journey these children make from their home country & how criminal organizations traffic these children across the southern border & further into the interior.
Regardless of political views, it is unacceptable for any child to be exposed to dangerous criminal trafficking networks. With a record number of unaccompanied children and hundreds of thousands missing, there is no one ensuring the safety & security of these children except for the men & women who are on the frontlines daily. Despite the criticism over the years, the reality is that many children are exploited & trafficked, never to be heard from again. DPS has rescued over 900 children during #OperationLoneStar from abandonment & human smuggling.

Olivarez then posted additional videos, as a Texas officer first goes through a long line of unaccompanied male minors, and then another long line of unaccompanied female minors. They respond to questions on their age, where they’re from, and where they are going in the United States.
Another little girl in the group said she was 4 years old.
Olivarez also shared photos of the apprehended “special interest” illegal aliens found among the group, which means they are potential terrorist risks.

Monday morning, Fox News reporter Bill Melugin spoke about the vast number of children being trafficked across the border into the U.S., including the 2-year-old girl.
The unaccompanied migrant children aren’t deported. Melugin explained that the children are turned over to HHS, who are responsible for trying to find their families or sponsors in the United States.
Melugin noted that if Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is confirmed as the new HHS Secretary, this responsibility will then fall on him.
