From the New York Post: Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem joined federal authorities Tuesday for the first deportation raids in New York City under President Trump’s clampdown — lauding ICE for getting “dirtbags off the streets.”

The newly confirmed DHS secretary was driven between various locations in an armored Bearcat SWAT vehicle while boasting about the successful pre-dawn operation on X and sharing images of herself wearing a protective ICE vest, surrounded by heavily armed officers.

“We are doing this right — doing exactly what President @realDonaldTrump promised the American people — making our streets safe. Live this AM from NYC. I’m on it,” Noem wrote just before 5 a.m.

Noem posted photos from a briefing with law enforcement agents ahead of immigration raids in New York City very early Tuesday morning.

Sharing a video from one raid, Noem posted at 6:13 am ET: “Just now. Enforcement operation in NYC. Criminal alien with kidnapping, assault & burglary charges is now in custody – thanks to @ICE. Dirtbags like this will continue to be removed from our streets.”

In another video, Noem announced, “I’m here in New York City this morning. We’re getting the dirtbags off these streets.”

Later Tuesday afternoon, Sec. Noem addressed DHS staff during a welcome ceremony. The video below is set to start at the moment a brief and moving prayer was delivered, ahead of Noem’s entrance.

She confirmed in her speech that she specifically asked President Trump for the nomination of DHS Secretary,  because it’s his number one priority.
