From the New York Post: President Biden was all smiles and warmth toward President-elect Donald Trump this morning.
According to the pool note, Biden told Trump, “Welcome home” as the president-elect emerged from his SUV.
Biden also responded to a shouted question about his message to Trump with one word: “Joy.”
According to custom, the Trumps visited the Bidens at the White House for tea ahead of the inaugural ceremony.

When they departed the White House to leave for the inauguration at the Capitol, the First Ladies departed together, then Biden and Trump followed in a separate vehicle.

Vice-president elect JD Vance and his wife were also seen arriving at the White House, and welcomed by Kamala Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff.
