From Fox News: A visibly shaky Gov. Tim Walz had a tough start to the vice presidential debate, pausing and stumbling over his words as he spoke about the need for “steady leadership” from the White House.

Walz got caught up in his words as he answered a question about the Middle East and attacks on Israel by Iran. As he did so, he aimed his response at former President Donald Trump.

“What’s fundamental here is that steady leadership is going to matter. It’s clear, and the world saw it on that debate stage a few weeks ago, a nearly 80 year old Donald Trump talking about crowd sizes is not what we need in this moment,” he said.

Walz tried to blame Iran’s surge on Donald Trump:

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) wrote, “Tim Walz said we need “steady leadership” to fix this mess–but Kamala is in charge today! Why has everything gotten worse with her in office?”

Fox News co-host Kayleigh McEnany, Trump’s former White House press secretary, wrote, “Tim Walz heralds the “steady leadership” of Kamala Harris. So-called “steady leadership” has led to the Afghanistan disaster, war in Ukraine, war in the Middle East, inflation, natural disaster botched response, unfettered illegal immigration and the list goes on… and on… and on…”

Former Trump attorney Jenna Ellis mocked, “A visibly shaking Walz says we need “steady leadership.” 🥲.”

“Is Tim Walz talking about “steady leadership?” While the south is underwater and being ignored? While Eastern Europe and the Middle East are on fire?” demanded Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.).
