Donald Trump and JD Vance held a rally in Asheboro, North Carolina, focusing on national security and the state of global affairs.

This rally marked Trump’s first outdoor public appearance since the July 13 assassination attempt.

On stage, he was protected by bulletproof glass but briefly left the enclosure, escorted by Secret Service, to comfort a supporter struggling from the intense heat. She had initially fainted and was struggling to recover herself when Trump walked up to her to ask if she was alright and hugged her.

The heartwarming videos of the interaction can be viewed below:

Trump also addressed the recent speeches by Barack and Michelle Obama at the Democratic National Convention, criticizing their personal attacks against him and questioning why he was advised to avoid similar tactics. Discussing the 2024 election, Trump accused the Democrats of planning to “cheat like hell to win.”
