President Donald Trump traveled to Michigan on Tuesday and delivered a speech to the Detroit Economic Club.
During his speech, the president addressed the massive fraud schemes that have been uncovered in Minnesota involving Somali migrants, and in other states as well.
“Another urgent priority for bringing down the cost of living is to stop the colossal fraud that is bleeding American taxpayers absolutely dry,” Trump warned, noting the fraud is “monumental.”
“Our country has been losing over half a trillion dollars to fraud every single year, but those days are OVER,” Trump vowed.

One of the ways the Trump administration is reacting is by cracking down on remittances.
“We will now require proof of attendance in order to receive federal funding for childcare… Additionally, from this moment forward, if you’re on public assistance, like almost all Somalis are… you can’t wire money out of the country back to your bank account from where you came,” Trump announced.

In another major move, Trump said sanctuary cities protecting illegal aliens are about to lose their federal funding.
“Starting February 1st, we’re not making any payments to Sanctuary Cities or states having Sanctuary Cities because they do everything possible to protect criminals at the expense of American Citizens, and it breeds fraud and crime.”

The Justice Department is setting up a new division specifically designated toward investigating fraud.
“We intend to imprison any fraudster, politician, or public official involved in these sick plots to loot and pillage our country,” Trump announced.

Trump also said any naturalized immigrant who is convicted of fraud will be stripped of their U.S. citizenship.
“We’re also going to revoke the citizenship of any naturalized immigrant — from Somalia or anywhere else — who is convicted of defrauding our citizens.”

“Our country wasn’t built by people who tried to lie, and cheat, and scam their way to success—it was built by legends like Henry Ford, Henry Dow, Thomas Edison… men who lifted up American workers, and strengthened our nation,” the president declared.
