Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz… the man who wants to be Vice President of the United States, is having a bad week, as far as interviews go, and has made a number of bizarre remarks that are going viral and drawing widespread mockery.  This man wants to help lead the country:

1 – WALZ’S CODE NAME FOR KAMALA HARRIS:  From the New York Post: Self-styled “knucklehead” Tim Walz has revealed the absurd codename he lists Vice President Kamala Harris under on his phone since he accidentally ignored her call telling him he was her running mate.

The lefty Minnesota governor told Jimmy Kimmel late Monday that Harris had tried to call him in early August to tell him he was her pick for the Democratic ticket — except he decided not to answer.

“It was an unmarked number so I’m thinking it’s like a car warranty thing,” Walz told Kimmel to laughter from the studio audience.

He only took the life-changing call when he “got a call from a high-ranking aide” who “said, ‘Pick up your dang phone,’” he recalled.

Kimmel asked if Harris was now saved in his phone contacts to avoid further missed calls — with Walz revealing she was, albeit under a bizarre pseudonym.

Kimmel pressed Walz, asking how he has Harris listed in his phone.  Walz admitted he used the name of his dry cleaner, and said, “They told me to come up with something and that was all I could think of.”

Kimmel pointed out this might be a problem if he received a phone call from his actual dry cleaner.

The man who wants to be vice-president shrugged and said, “I didn’t think that far ahead.”

2 – WALZ PLANS TO WAKE UP NEXT TO… WHO???  Touting his confidence in a victory on November 5, Walz told Kimmel, “I plan on waking up on November 6th with Madam President.”

Laughing, Kimmel asked, “Just.. I want to be clear… you won’t be waking up… together? Unless you guys have gotten closer than we thought.”

Walz, who wants to be vice-president of the United States, just one step away from the Oval Office, responded, “I have a problem about not being specific with my language.”

3 – WALZ AGAIN DESCRIBES HIMSELF AS A ‘KNUCKLEHEAD.’  In a 60 Minutes interview, host Bill Whitaker asked Walz, “In your debate with JD Vance, you said, “I’m a knucklehead at times.” And I think you were referring to the time that you said that you were in Hong Kong during the Tiananmen Square unrest when you were not.”

“Yeah,” Walz replied.

Whitaker asked, “Is that kind of misrepresentation, isn’t that more than just being a knucklehead?”

Walz responded, “I think folks know who I am. And I think they know the difference between someone expressing emotion, telling a story, getting a date wrong by–you–rather than a pathological liar like Donald Trump.”

Whitaker pressed again, “But I think it comes down to the question of whether—whether you can be trusted to tell the truth.”

The man who wants to be vice-president of the United States replied, “Yeah. Well– I can– I think I can. I will own up to being a knucklehead at times, but the folks closest to me know that I keep my word.”
