From Fox Business: Tesla CEO Elon Musk clapped back at Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz after the former Democratic vice presidential candidate joked that he regularly checks Tesla stock, which was down 41.4% year-to-date as of March amid a string of vandalism against the billionaire’s company.

“On the iPhone, they’ve got that little stock app. I added Tesla to it to give me a little boost during the day,” Walz said, referencing Tesla’s stock slump as he held up his iPhone during a Wisconsin town hall titled, “The People vs Musk,” on Tuesday.

Walz, who called Musk an “un-elected, South African, nepo-baby” during the event, also encouraged Tesla owners to remove the logo on their car with “dental floss.”

“225 and dropping!” Walz gloated, mocking the drop in the Tesla stock.

But Elon Musk got the last laugh, as he pointed out that Walz badly LOST his bid to become the Vice President.

“Sometimes when I need a little boost, I look at the @JDVance portrait in the @WhiteHouse and thank the Lord 🙏,” Musk quipped. His comment has gotten over 17 million views.

The White House Rapid Response Team also joined in, writing, “When we need a little boost during the day at the White House, we walk around the corner from our office and admire these beautiful portraits.”

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin pointed out the hypocrisy.

“As Gov. Walz gloats about Tesla stock dropping, records from the Minnesota State Board of Investment show that as of 6/30/24, the state of Minnesota had 1.6 million shares of Tesla in its retirement fund, and 211,000 shares of Tesla in its non-retirement fund. I’ve reached out to Walz’s office to ask if MN still holds $TSLA, or if they’ve sold since then. Will update when I hear back,” he announced.

Walz is being blasted on social media, with many conservatives trolling Walz by offering suggestions on what to do if you “need a little boost.”
