From the New York Post: Rep. Nancy Mace stormed out of the House Oversight Committee’s closed-door meeting with Jeffrey Epstein victims visibly shaken and in tears, claiming their horror stories gave her a “full blown panic attack.”
Video shows the South Carolina Republican — who’s shared her own experience as a victim of sexual assault — wipe tears from her eyes as she stormed down a hallway full of reporters.
The lawmaker refused to answer questions but later took to X, where she described hyperventilating during the meeting.
Democrats are mocking and sneering over Mace’s tearful exit from the room.
Mace has previously stated that she herself is a victim of sexual abuse by her ex-fiance.
Mace is running for governor of South Carolina.

Full blown panic attack. Sweating. Hyperventilating. Shaking. I can’t breathe,” Mace explained later in a post on X.
“I feel the immense pain of how hard all victims are fighting for themselves because we know absolutely no one will fight for us. GOD BLESS ALL SURVIVORS.”
