From the Daily Caller: MSNBC anchor Joe Scarborough appeared shell shocked Thursday as his wife, co-host Mika Brzezinski, informed him that butter costs $7 at the grocery store.
Scarborough said he spoke to a supporter of Vice President Kamala Harris who believed President-elect Donald Trump was going to win because butter costs $3, which he argued appeared to be a “reductive” point. Brzezinski interrupted her husband to add that butter actually costs $7 at the grocery store and agreed that groceries are too high.
“A few weeks ago, someone who was gonna be voting for Kamala Harris came up to me and said ‘oh my God, Trump’s gonna win.’ I said ‘why’s that’ and he goes, ‘I went to the grocery store, butter is over $3.’ I kinda laughed and I said ‘well that’s kind of reductive isn’t it?’ I said it to myself, to him I smiled and said ‘good point.’”
“$7,” Brzezinski interjected, adding, “I’m just saying, it’s $7.”
“What’s that? Butter is $7? Is it framed in gold?” Scarborough stammered.
“In some places… depending where you go,” Brzezinski added. She didn’t clarify at which store she saw the the price of butter that high.
