From Yahoo News: Riot police forcibly cleared more than 400 young migrants from a Paris theatre on Tuesday, ending an occupation that had lasted about three months.
Some 200 demonstrators gathered outside the Gaîté Lyrique theatre in central Paris to protest the operation, attempting to block police from entering.
Authorities reported 46 arrests during the clashes, Paris police chief Laurent Nuñez said.
Nine people sustained minor injuries, including seven migrants, one police officer, and a journalist.
The report explains that the theatre venue initially welcomed the group of African migrants who claimed to be minors in early December, granting them free admission for an event on French refugee policy.
But then, the mob of migrants decided to just stay and take up residence in the space, refusing to leave, as they demanded stable housing from authorities.
The theatre has been unable to resume normal operations ever since.
After three months, Paris police finally moved in at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday and forced the mob out.
Between getting the mob out of the theater, and the supporting mob outside protesting against their removal, the place erupted into chaos.
