New, clearer video footage has been released from the Cybertruck explosion that occurred in front of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on New Year’s Day.

Army Special Forces soldier Matthew Livelsberger of Colorado springs reportedly rented the Tesla Cybertruck from Denver, and drove it to Las Vegas, arriving on the morning of January 1. Police say he pulled up to the hotel, detonated explosives he had in the vehicle, and shot himself in the head.

A new video has been released and is now circulating on social media, from a close angle, of the moment the vehicle explode. A man can be seen sitting in the vehicle.

However, the video appears to have created more questions than answers among social media users. Many are questioning how the man is till sitting so upright, if he had just shot himself, or whether the shooting and the explosion both happened simultaneously.

Although the video is from a nearby surveillance camera, the footage is still blurry, it is still unclear exactly how the horror unfolded.

Journalist Collin Rugg posted the video on X and wrote:

Investigators say Matt Livelsberger was found with two firearms, a handgun and a rifle. The weapons were purchased legally on Monday. (ABC News) Livelsberger allegedly shot himself in the head. A .50-caliber Desert Eagle was found at his feet. Investigators say he took his life sometime in the 17 seconds between when he arrived at the hotel and when the truck exploded.

ABC News also reports that Livelsberger had been “receiving mental health assistance over the last year.”
