Ivanka Trump, former President Trump’s daughter and ex-adviser, discussed her father’s legal battles in a new podcast interview with Lex Fridman.

The former president faced four criminal indictments and was convicted of 34 felony counts in his hush-money case in May. On Monday, the Supreme Court ruled in his favor, granting presidents broad immunity for official acts, which delays his federal trial likely past Election Day. The sentencing in Trump’s hush money case, initially set for next week, has been postponed to September to consider the impact of the immunity ruling on his guilty verdict.

Ivanka Trump, who served as a senior adviser in her father’s administration, will not join his campaign trail this time. She expressed her desire to focus on raising her young children and noted the “darkness” in politics.
